  okay i am getting messages from gay exjw site message board that ray franz is back at meetings.

  i cannot imagine this has a fragment of truth... has anyone heard about this?

  can verify or otherwise?

  Well, I can say one thing about that rumor -- it brought me out of retirement.

  I heard it from the same gay ex-JW group this morning. I couldn't believe it. It made me wonder if their twisted mind-control could be so strong as to suck one back at an extremely weak moment. And as someone said, if he never debunked the bible then maybe he was ripe for such a turn-around.

  I've never read his books. Always meant to, just never got around to it. Plus, delving too deeply into my wasted years pisses me off sometimes. That's why I retired from this highly addictive board in the first place. But it's good to be back.

  International Convention Scam ...

  my mom said recently that she had 'applied' to go to the international conventions.

  today she reported that she'd been approved.

  i asked how much it was gonna cost her.

  I agree undercover ... it smells, it smells.

  And why the long process to find out HOW MUCH? It's a trap to get her all excited about a trip to Munich, then they slap her with the cost. A trip which, whatever the cost, i'm sure she could make better arrangements for on her own. It sucks to see your aging mom taken advantage off ... and by one of the things loves most.

  I'm gonna do everything I can to squash this trip. If she wants to go to Munich, then we'll make the arrangements ourselves ... no covention, just us.

  My mom said recently that she had 'applied' to go to the international conventions. Today she reported that she'd been approved. I asked how much it was gonna cost her. She said they haven't been informed yet. She going to Munich in June of next year.

  For a trip of that magnitude, unless your rich, that's right around the corner. She's already putting off getting rid of her old clunker for a new car, because of this impending expense. I almost unloaded today. If it wasn't for the knowledge that she'd be more hurt by the truth, I would have.

  Whatever figure they come back with, she so excited she'll gleefully pay it. I can't help but to wonder, how many other scams have they got going?

  Having a hard time tonight

  it's been 2 months since i was df'd and 4 months since i've talked to anyone in my family.

  for the most part i'm doing real well but every now and then it catches up with me.

  ran into my dad today and when i tried to say hi he could only ignore me.. i think the pain and hurt i feel now is more for him, he's in his own world of misery and doesn't even know it.. anyway, i'm a little drunk and depressed and just felt like getting it off my chest.. hope this doesn't bring anyone else down.. namaste'

  Anniversary of sorts today, 6 years since I left

  yes, it is 6 years today since i entered a kingdom hall for the very last time, and with each passing year this particular "anniversary" gets happier.

  even better this time, i have so many people to share it with who have had the same kind of jw experiences as me, in the past the friends i have made since leaving the lie kind of acknowledged it, but didn't really understand, so i just want you all to share in my joy today.

  Congrats ...

  I've been out for twenty years also. But only 'truly' out since I discovered this board about a year ago. Before that, a part of me was still waiting for sudden destruction to be rained down upon my hopelessly homosexual self.

  When I found this board I became obsessed for a while ...

  then I got ANGRY.

  So much so I had to let this all go for awhile. Getting twisted about all those self-destructive years since I left didn't do me any good, and I really can't blame the dubs for making me believe that I had no future.

  Actually ... yes I can.

  But anyway ... I'm back now ... and I've channeled my anger down a more productive avenues.

  does god have a true church on the earth today?yes,and i will reveal it.it is the free will baptist church,which is true in every sense.they preach jesus,they study god's word correctly and rightly divide the word of truth.they are not led by a distant leader,they are led by their local leader chosen by god.if the sign out front doesn't say free will baptist then you are in the wrong church.look for that sign,and then you've found the right church.
